Zach Bryan is an American country singer and songwriter who started his music career with two self-produced albums, DeAnn in 2019 and Elisabeth in 2020. In 2022, after signing with Warner Records, he released his third album, American Heartbreak, which reached number five on the Billboard 200. The album included the hit single “Something in the Orange.”

His fourth album, Zach Bryan, reached number one on the Billboard 200 in 2023, with the song “I Remember Everything,” and won a Grammy Award. His fifth album, The Great American Bar Scene, reached number two on the Billboard 200 in 2024.

Zach Bryan’s Musical Journey

Zach began sharing his music on YouTube in 2017 and his first upload was a song called “God Speed,” which later appeared on his debut album. Many of his early songs were written while he was serving in the Navy.

Before his song “Heading South” went viral, Bryan had uploaded 16 songs to YouTube. “Heading South” was recorded outside his Navy barracks. Bryan’s debut album, DeAnn, was released in honor of his late mother. His first public performance took place in October 2019.

His second album, Elisabeth, was released in May 2020 and was recorded in a barn behind his home in Washington. The album, named after his ex-wife, includes the songs “Heading South” and “Revival.”
