Isiah was selected by the Kansas City Chief in the Seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft. In his first NFL game against the Arizona Cardinals, Pacheco scored his first rushing touchdown. He started his first game in Week 7 against the San Francisco 49ers and had a career-high rushing yards of 107 in Week 11 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Pacheco set a record for the most yards by a rookie seventh-round running back. He finished his rookie season with 830 rushing yards, 130 receiving yards, and five touchdowns. He also returned 29 kickoffs for 597 yards.
In his rookie year, Pacheco played as the starting running back for the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII, where he contributed 76 yards and a touchdown in their win against the Philadelphia Eagles. He underwent surgeries after the season.
