Praniti Shinde is an Indian politician and a member of Parliament from the Solapur Lok Sabha constituency. Solapur recently held its Lok Sabha elections where Ram Satpute from the BJP faced off against Praniti from Congress. Praniti emerged victorious and made history as the first woman MP from the Solapur constituency.

Solapur has traditionally been a stronghold of Congress, previously represented by senior leader Sushilkumar Shinde, Praniti’s father. Sushilkumar was first elected to the Lok Sabha in 1998 and later became the Chief Minister of Maharashtra in 2003. 3gondwanauniversity
