Whitney Rebecca Rose was raised in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, by her mother Laurie Rose, and her grandparents, Jean and John P. Rose. Her grandparents were the owners of a bar in Union Hall. Rose loved singing Hank Williams’ “There’s a Tear in My Beer” from an early age in her family bar. Her father’s identity is not known.

Whitney joined Season 1 of “RHOSLC” with her husband, Justin Rose, and their two children. Their 10-year-old daughter, Bobbi Rose, was more enthusiastic about being on camera than their 7-year-old son, Brooks Rose. Whitney Rose Career

After a few years of working in a company, Whitney launched her own “clean skincare brand”, originally called “Iris + Beau,” now rebranded as “Wild Rose Beauty.” Her grandfather’s favorite song was “Ring of Fire,” which she still includes in her performances in his memory.

Whitney’s uncle gave her a “starter guitar,” which inspired her to start writing songs. After moving from rural Nova Scotia to Toronto, she had enough songs for a record. In Toronto, she became part of the Cameron House music scene and released her debut album in 2012.

In 2013, Rose opened for U.S. country band The Mavericks in Toronto. Her boyfriend gave her a Gibson acoustic guitar named “Aggie” for her 27th birthday. Though she initially saw it as a writing tool, she now plays it on stage regularly, which she once considered a nightmare. Rose signed with Six Shooter Records in 2016 and is managed by Michael McKeown, the former president of Cameron House Records.
