Saquon Barkley is an American football running back for the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL. Before joining the NFL, Barkley played college football at Penn State, where he broke several school records over three seasons. In 2017, Barkley finished fourth in Heisman Trophy voting, third in Maxwell Award voting, and earned various national and Big Ten Conference awards.
During his three years at Penn State, he set records for the most all-purpose career yards, most career rushing touchdowns, most career receiving yards by a running back, most rushing yards as a freshman and sophomore, and most total yards in a single game.
Barkley was the second overall pick by the New York Giants in the 2018 NFL draft. He set several NFL and team records, made the 2018 Pro Bowl, and was named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. Despite injuries in the 2020 season, he was named to the Pro Bowl again in 2022.

2018 Rookie Season
ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. called him a “once-in-a-lifetime talent.” At the NFL Combine, Barkley impressed with a 4.4-second 40-yard dash and 29 bench presses of 225 pounds. The Cleveland Browns considered drafting him first overall. Ultimately, the New York Giants selected him second overall.
Saquon Barkley debuted against the Jacksonville Jaguars scored a 68-yard touchdown and rushed for 106 yards. In Week 2, he set a Giants’ record with 14 receptions. By the end of his rookie season, Barkley had set numerous records, including being the first Giants rookie to surpass 1,000 rushing yards in a season. 2022 Season
In Week 1 against the Titans, Barkley rushed for 164 yards and a touchdown, earning NFC Offensive Player of the Week. He finished the season with 1,312 rushing yards and ten touchdowns, earning a Pro Bowl selection and ranking fourth in the NFL for rushing yards. In the Wild Card Round, he had 109 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns.
2023 Season
