Dillon Gabriel is an American college football quarterback for the Oregon Ducks who played at UCF in 2019 before going to Oklahoma in 2022 and Oregon in December 2023. He is only the eighth college QB to surpass 15,000 passing yards.

Dillon is active in the community and helped build more than 200 beds for underprivileged children, and also organized a youth basketball game in Eugene. Gabriel attended Mililani High School in Mililani, in 2018, he was the Gatorade High School Football Player of the Year for Hawaii after passing for 3,754 yards and 38 touchdowns. Dillon’s father is Garrett Gabriel, who was a former quarterback for the University of Hawaii during the late 1980s and early 1990s and left a significant legacy at the school. He ranks seventh all-time in passing yards and fifth in touchdown passes for the Rainbow Warriors. His mother is Dori Gabriel.

Dillon Gabriel College Career

Dillon started his college football career at UCF in 2019 as a backup but quickly became the starter, leading the team to a 10–3 season and a Gasparilla Bowl win. He threw for 3,653 yards, 29 touchdowns, and seven interceptions that year.

In 2020, he led UCF to a 6–4 record and played in the Boca Raton Bowl, though the team lost 49–23. In 2021, Gabriel’s season ended early after breaking his left collarbone during a game against Louisville. He announced his transfer from UCF in November 2021.

Initially committing to UCLA in December 2021, Gabriel switched to Oklahoma in January 2022. After two seasons with the Sooners, he entered the transfer portal again in December 2023.

Gabriel transferred to Oregon on December 9, 2023, and made a strong debut, passing for 380 yards. He became the eighth college quarterback to surpass 15,000 career passing yards and is ranked third all-time as of September 2024. 3wikipedia
