Ben Shelton is an American professional tennis player, who achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 14 on April 8, 2024, and a career-high doubles ranking of No. 68 on May 20, 2024.

Shelton won the 2016 USTA junior national championship in doubles. He played college tennis for the Florida Gators and helped them win their first-team national championship as a freshman in 2021. In 2022, he won the NCAA Division I Men’s Tennis Championship in singles and was named ITA National Player of the Year.

Shelton made his ATP Tour debut in July 2022 at the Atlanta Open. Then, he reached the third round of the Cincinnati Masters and won world No. 5 Casper Ruud. Shelton made his ATP Tour debut at the Atlanta Open as a wildcard and won his first ATP match. He lost to No. 2 seed John Isner in three sets in the next round. Shelton also received a wildcard entry into the Cincinnati Masters, where he defeated Lorenzo Sonego for his first top-100 win. He then beat world No. 5 Casper Ruud in straight sets and marked his first top-10 victory.

In August 2022, Shelton announced he would turn professional and be represented by agent Alessandro Sant Albano from Roger Federer’s TEAM8 management firm. He made his Grand Slam debut at the US Open and recorded the second-fastest serve of the tournament at 149 mph.
