A.J. Brown was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the second round (51st overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft. He signed a four-year deal and made an immediate impact in his rookie season. In his debut game, he caught three passes for 100 yards. Throughout the season, he had standout performances, including two touchdowns against the Falcons in Week 4 and 153 receiving yards and two touchdowns against the Raiders in Week 14. Brown ended the season with 52 receptions for 1,051 yards and eight touchdowns, leading all NFL rookies in receiving yards. He was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team. The Titans reached the AFC Championship but lost to the Chiefs.

Brown continued his strong play, finishing the season with 70 receptions for 1,075 yards and 11 touchdowns. Despite injuries to both knees, he delivered key performances, including a 151-yard game in the regular-season finale against the Texans. Brown underwent knee surgery after the season but was ranked 62nd on the NFL Top 100 Players list.

 

Brown played 13 games in 2021, recording 63 receptions for 869 yards and five touchdowns. Despite a chest injury that sidelined him for part of the season, he had standout games, including 155 yards and a touchdown against the Colts in Week 8. He returned from injury with an 11-catch, 145-yard game against the 49ers. The Titans made the playoffs but lost to the Bengals in the Divisional Round.

On April 28, 2022, Brown was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles, signing a four-year, $100 million deal. He set a franchise record for receiving yards in his debut with 155 yards against the Lions. He had multiple standout performances, including a three-touchdown game against the Steelers. Brown finished the season with 88 receptions, 1,496 yards, and 11 touchdowns, breaking the Eagles’ single-season receiving yard record. In Super Bowl LVII, he caught six passes for 96 yards and a touchdown, though the Eagles lost to the Chiefs.

Brown set an NFL record with six consecutive games of at least 125 receiving yards and was named NFC Offensive Player of the Month in October. He finished the season with 106 receptions for 1,456 yards and seven touchdowns, earning the 21st spot on the NFL Top 100 Players list. A knee injury in the final game kept him out of the playoffs.

In April 2024, Brown signed a three-year, $96 million contract extension with the Eagles.
