Arshad Nadeem is a Pakistani javelin thrower, who became the Olympic champion in Men’s javelin at the 2024 Summer Olympics with a record throw of 92.97 meters. Arshad is a two-time Olympian and the first Pakistani to reach the final in any track and field event at both the Olympic Games and the World Athletics Championships.

Arshad Nadeem’s Career Journey
Arshad began competing in the javelin throw in 2015. In 2016, he received a scholarship from World Athletics to train in Mauritius. He won a bronze medal at the South Asian Games in India and set a national record with a throw of 78.33 meters. He also won another bronze at the Asian Junior Athletics Championship in Vietnam.
In 2017, Arshad earned a bronze medal at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Azerbaijan with a throw of 76.33 meters. In 2018, he improved his personal best to 80.45 meters during the Commonwealth Games in Australia, finishing eighth. Later that year, he set a new personal best and national record of 80.75 meters, winning a bronze at the Asian Games in Indonesia.
