During his tenure, he hosted various programs, including the channel’s flagship weekday show Prime Time, as well as Hum Log, Ravish Ki Report, and Des Ki Baat.

Throughout his career, Kumar’s fearless journalism has earned him both accolades and threats, with reports of receiving death threats due to his work. On 30th November 2022, he decided to resign from NDTV, coinciding with the resignation of the channel’s founders and promoters, Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy, from the board of RRPR Holding Private Limited (RRPRH).

After his departure, Kumar started his independent journalism, launching his news channel on YouTube in 2022.
